Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Esmilkrys Ramirez, a board-certified obesity medicine specialist, earned her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Ramirez then moved to Chicago for an internal medicine residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she earned The Douglas P. Rhone MD Legacy Award for outstanding patient care.
Dr. Ramirez is committed to providing a proactive approach to health and wellness that is unique and personalized to each patient. She specializes in preventive medicine and the treatment of acute and chronic conditions. She is focused on helping patients achieve optimal wellness and a high quality of life.
Love my doctor! She is busy but it is worth the wait. I have seen her for years now and some of the staff are still the same and seen the same friendly faces makes a difference. Carmen is the best! She has always been there when I need extra help. I don't feel like a patient, Dr. Ramirez treats me like a friend.
