How Is Hyperlipidemia Treated?
During your initial visit to our facility, our team of skilled physicians will perform diagnostic tests and identify your medical history to evaluate your cholesterol levels and any potential risks. If your levels are elevated but not within a dangerous range, monitoring and lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise and a low cholesterol diet, may be recommended. In other instances, prescription medications may be given to help lower your levels. You may need to continue to attend follow-up appointments in order to receive continued monitoring of your levels to determine the effectiveness of the medication and make any necessary changes to your treatment plan.
