How Are Stitches and Sutures Removal Performed?
Prior to recommending or providing stitches, your wound will be carefully evaluated and cleaned. The area may then be numbed with a local anesthetic. Small suture threads and a sterilized needle are used to carefully close the wound and protect the area.
For suture removal, the threads are simply cut and removed. Our team of medical professionals will let you know when to return to our facility in order to have your sutures carefully removed. We will also provide any necessary aftercare instructions to ensure your wound is properly cared for.
